Out of that 12 i have had 5 of them, fantastic everyone apart from the RS Focus that i couldnt agree with.

1. Fiesta XR2 both Mk1 & Mk2
2. Sierra RS Cosworth (only for 4 weeks due to funds at the time)
3. Sierra Sapphire RS Cosworth - Owned a very rare Radiant Red one only sold it last year to an enthusiast as a restoration project as it had been in storage for 9 years.
4. Focus RS - Pish
5. Escort XR3i - My 2nd car after owning a 1.6 Gl B reg powder blue escort, i bought the XR3i, it was an old Y reg, silver with the warrior kit, god i loved that car, pity ................

I can categorically say i will never own another Ford unless they invest some money in a 4wd Cosworth Focus

All the best Fix Or Repair Daily

What was wronf with the Focus sti-o4?

Quite like the look of them, and I loved the handling on our old 3 door Zetec.

Even "EVO" mag can't decide! The handling quality/feel seems to vary from example to example - some people love them, others don't

I think it was the case that i wanted more from the car & also the dreaded torque steer, i have a road that i always take my cars to when i get them just to test them the focus nearly had me in a field twice, i suppose i lost confidence in it more than anything else. I had it 6 months & traded it in for the impreza, didnt lose any money on it, pity i couldnt say the same thing for the scoob

How can you say things like "I hate Fords"? Have you driven every single Ford?

I loved our Focus when we had it, brilliant to drive, ultra reliable, cheap to run, looked great - not many cars can offer that.

I never understand why some people single out individual manufacturers, or are loyal to a single brand?

ok maybe i hate fords is a little strong, ive just never got to terms with any ford ive ever driven or owned,i just prefer vauxhalls equivelant.astra to escort, astra vxr to the focus rs,corsa to the fiesta, calibra to the probe, cavalier to the mondeo/sierra.Its just the way some people are, when you spend so much time with a certain brand of car you get used to their little charms and problems,my mate on the other hand swears by old fords, can strip a cvh with his eyes shut but im the same with an old 20 seh or c20 xe

Used to own a Mk2 1.3 ghia fiesta. Used to win lotsa traffic light battles in that cos it weighed naff all. Course now I have a tidy motor that actually has some power, ive grown up and dont even think about racing anymore.. Ah well!

I managed to squeeze 280bhp 310lb/ft from my Focus RS and I loved it(When it was dry) Dont get me wrong it was a bit of a handful when giving it some, but once on the move it gave quite a few cars a run for there money, but as most people are aware the torquesteer on these things are terrible even in standard form and there where a number of times where I was taking over slower moving cars on some bumpy B roads and nearly side swiped the car I was overtaking.

Ive owned most on that list and have only just sold my RS500, had cossies for over 10 years now and have enjoyed every minute.
Looking to swap my scoob for my old saffy cos, the subaru is far better round the twisties but just doesnt have the power delivery of the cossie. If the ex missus hadn't fleesed me for everything i could have kept both, then i would be a happy man.
Oh forgot to add, i bought a focus RS brand new in 2003 and it was one of the best cars ive ever driven, dont understand the critisism, minor torquesteer but handled like nothing ive driven.

I've only ever owned two fords, my first car was a Mk2 escort van, and I've owned a Mk1 XR4x4 for the last eleven years Apart from either a GT40 or a GT350, I've never really had a hankering for any other

Except maybe a David Sutton built Rothmans liveried Gp4 Escort obviously

A RWD Cosworth in the wet is still something that stays with you for a long time!

They've missed out the cars that started it all: the Mk1 and Mk11 Lotus Cortinas, the Escort Twin Cam, the Mk1 RS1600, and the Mk1 Mexico's.

Lovely cars, all.

In those days, if you bought the fastest Ford on offer, you drove the fastest thing on the road in it's class! Also cheap to buy, cheap to repair, cheap to mod.

Alcazar,
(who's had Mk11 Lotus Cortina, Mk1 Mexico, Mk11 Mexico, Mk11 RS2000, and STILL lusts after an RS200, even a kit car one would do;(

But it would need to have a mid engine and the engine would have to be a Cosworth Turbo 4 cyl.)
