Try bump start it ? Always works when the starter on mine sticks 2nd gear is best though. They are stragne cars mine has a tendancy to flatten the battery by running the fan on way too often!

Try connecting a +12v wire straight from the battery to the starter solenoid and see if it turns over.

If it does, then the wire from the barrel to the starter needs cleaning up, probably inside the brown multiplug that lives near the gearbox. The 205 starter systems are crap and I've modded mine with an extra direct connection relay.

Yes I remember pryally, got some pics of your Webers here still

Is it still the silver one you have?

Still have mine (just, never use it so should sell really) but spent a silly amount since I saw you back then - it now has new engine, 200bhp, bodies etc, etc.

For the starter, just use normal wire atached to the battery, then to the starter solenoid terminal - its just under your Webers front of the block.

I'd bump it..

Solenoid in the starter often sticks on them so wouldn't be surprised it it is that.

Run the oil though the engine first if she has been sitting around for a long time to line the engine parts.

Sold my pug in the end... , wanted to keep it for track only.
