A4 2.0 - oil in breather pipes?!!
I've got a 2002 A4 2.0 and there seems to be quite a lot of oily fluid which seems to come up the engine breather pipes, which connect to the main air intake pipe - so the oily stuff is burnt in the engine, and as a result the car smells of oil when following - cars behind seem to drop back or change lane!
Any idea why this could be happening?! Car has done 87k and has always been well serviced?!
I remember having this issue on a 205 Gti a few years back, and I simply added an oil-catch-tank, but I would not expect this sort of issue on a more modern car, and dont want to add a catch tank as I'm planning on selling the car, and I dont see potential buyers liking that!
Any advice appreciated
