Default question for 911 fans

Is the 964 RS really worth an extra 10-12k over a carrera 2?

An extra couple of horses and bigger fuel tank don't really justify if to me..

How much more is there to it once you remove status/exclusivity?

I'm not an expert but from what I understand the RS is......

Much lighter,
Bucket seats,
Quicker steering rack,
Better suspension,
Lighter wheels (look the same but are much lighter which adds to better steering etc..)
Blue printed engine (much stronger)

Apparently they are much better for track work and can keep up with much faster cars around the Nurburgring due to the handling and weight loss.

I've been looking at the 964's and found the RS and the Turbo's to be MUCH more expensive!

Personally I don't think 250hp is enough to warrent needing 4wd, i've always look away from the carrera 4's.

The additional good bits don't look like they'd add up to 10k.

Suspension, quick rack and light wheels and you're retty much there? There must be more to it..

Yes it's worth the extra! My favorite car.

A couple of extra horses and a bigger fuel tank is hardly the only differences.
