Default tempted to sell the STI for an EVO 340

After a dire 18 months being diagnosed with Leukaemia , and now finally getting over a bone marrow transplant I want to sample an EVO so at least I can say I had one. I bought a brand new STI in 2005 had it Remapped , decatted etc its only done 5000 miles due to my not being able to use it over last 18 months , but it still doesnt compare to a STI V 4 i used to own, I am hankering for more power and something different.

Question is there seems to be a few grand price difference between a FQ320 and FQ340 is the 340 worth the extra money and phyisically what makes it different to the 320 is it just a different remap ? The brochure doesnt give too much away engine wise.

There seem to be a few on ebay at the moment a company in the West Midlands seems to have some very nice examples - that said i would be kissing goodbye to nearly 9 years of subaru ownership - but lifes too short as I have found out !

The evo is a very competent car, though it leaves you feeling cold as you dont seem to do anything, in fact its probably too good for its own good tbh, your behind the wheel but you dont feel as if your actually driving the car, left me feeling a little left out when I had a go in one, now if you want more power then buy a JDM STi still gives you the feeling your actually driving the car

Well I tested the FQ360 and LOVED it - Nothing can touch it (non modded) on a decent A/B road.

I've had a good drive of FQ320 and can honestly say i prefer my JDM STI. Admittedly mine has quite a few mods over standard now but agree completely with Tony's comments above.

Although the Evo was a very good car I just found it all to easy to drive which got boring in the end.

I guess it comes down to what you are looking for in a car.

How about getting a Morris Marina then?

With terrible brakes and awful RWD, it's a REAL challenge to drive anywhere.
