toyota altezza

Hi all,
I have just recently found some japanese performance mags and it got me thinking about the toyota altezzas. I have tried looking around but can't find much info on them.
Does anyone have any info/opinions on them? I am particularly interested in initial cost, insurance and tunining potential
I think they are 4Cylinder turbos, although may be wrong.
Cheers
Chris

Basically Chris a Toyota Altezza is a japaneese spec Lexus IS200,but with different badges and a 4cyl 2.0 engine.
The main differences are :-Altezza 2.0 4cyl 3SGE tuned engine
producing 210 bhp
IS200 2.0 6cyl 1GFE VVti engine
pruducing 156 bhp
I myself currently run a IS200 and I have freinds who have Altezza's, side by side they are vitually the same except for seat trim and badges.I also work at a Lexus/Toyota Dealership and as of this current time I have not seen a turbo charged Altezza, but there rumors the some Japaneese specifications do include Turbo's or Superchargers.
Best Wishes
Happy New Year

Hi Chris,
Oh. I presumed that they would be turbod as 210 from a normally aspirated engine seemed quite a lot. I thought if it was turbod then it would be quite a good scooby alternative.
Cheers, and seasons greetings and all.

Hi Chris
210 bhp is from a normally aspirated 2.0 engine although it has been tuned by a company called "Beams"
I did have up until about 12 months ago a 00my spec 4dr Impreza Turbo but due to running costs I had to change to a Lexus IS200
which although is not as quick I can still have fun in it
