The recent "Driven" comparison between the X-type the Audi A4 and the BMW 3 series, didn't rate the X-type very highly either.

Still, its not really a Jag as most parts are borrowed from Fords Mondeo V6....

Just got a mag from Oz and they panned the X-type too...

IS300 by a hair on the 330i coz of the price differential in Oz (plus a couple of other points like build quality, overall refinement and reatained vaule ). All in Aussie refernce terms natch.

Oh, well, guess I'll have to wait for someone to work out that a good quality interior (versus just design) and better all around package at a reasonable price is needed in the market. Ooops - that would be my Legacy

Seriously though, I was expecting a better result over time for the Jag - even hoping for it (as an well packaged, excellent handling, awd, mid size exec is AWOL in the market place).
