There's no doubt that it's a good car though......
Doesn't matter how much a certain marque-admirer bleats on about them, it still wont change how people perceive him

I have 'Vag' cars, yet every time I read AL's posts, It saddened me.. he is like a one man Mujahaddin for the Cause of Audi-ism.. with him and Moses, sweet Lord....

No matter how good the R8 is, its never gonna steal die hard customers from the 911
IMHO of course

Thats not what posche think. Word is some of the members on the board arent too happy about the R8, and future porsche rivalling models

R8 looks better and is more exclusive. 911's are a bit like RR sports and 3 series BMW's in london. Every man and their dog has got one.

Black with Silver Fins. Manual gear box, magnetic ride, and a few other choice options.
I might not get to own it (old mans) but I'll at least get to flog it silly every now and then.

I'd have AM V8 Vantage over the R8 and Porsche (not that I have Ł80K to spend on a car!) or the Maserati Gran Turismo when it comes out and is for Ł80k. They may not be the fastest or as powerful as the R8, but there's more to a car than speed and performance figures and IMO look more pleasing to the eye that either the R8 or the Porsche.

I think it's absolutely stunning motor. A bit pricey, but hey. Check out the price list:

Dont get me wrong I am a mega Audi fan but....
I think its dramatic but ugly exterior wise - hopefully better in the flesh. Interior looks superb though. Sameish alloys as RS4 are a bit of a let down.
Otherwise should have been badged as a Lamborghini

Nice bit of engineering, but it looks like a TT on steroids IMO. When you've got that sort of money to spend on a car there's quite a lot of choice out there, so you'd have to be pretty committed.

The R8 is the first car I've really wanted to own for a while. I think it looks fantastic. I'm sure it will drive great and the interior will be very good.
The New Nissan GT-R might be another option though
