No. 2 in the series: High mileage BMW 540i: Bargain or financial suicide?
I'm looking around for cars and I love the idea of a 4.4 V8 BMW, but at the price point I'm looking at, we're talking 150k-ish miles. Worth the bother or are they all about to blow up at this mileage?
Also, what's the tiptronic auto like in these? I'm not auto-averse but would prefer a manual but they're like hens teeth and probably difficult to sell on.
