New shape Focus 2.0 TDCI?
I've taken a 1.8 LX 109 bhp out and was distinctly underwhelmed but can't find any dealer with a demo car in 2.0 135/9?
Recently I've owned a Legacy TT 290bhp, Bora 130 ps and at present a Golf 2.8 V6 4motion 204bhp so I'm not expecting miracles but compared to the Bora it was really boring and unrefined. No feeling of torque. Ride was jiggly, lots of road noise and vibration through the pedals and wheel.
Anybody got any experience of the 2.0 in a higher spec. Is it quite nippy, quieter, more settled on the road?
Anybody?

Hi Alg,wife got a new 2.0 TDCi focus only has 1400 miles on it so far and its far quicker than the 130PD TDi Passat Sport she had before and it hasnt even been run in yet.Pulls well in all gears 40-70 in fourth is very impressive. We got TCS as an option and it came complete with the six speed box.The 1.8 has 280/300 Nm and the 2.0 has 320/340Nm of torque. Its teh Zetec Climate so has the sports suspension so the ride is nice and firm and handles quite well,we have 17 inch rims as option and there is very little road noise with no vibration through the wheel and pedals.
I know the 2.0 TDCi is hard to come by as its not a popular choice as we had to order ours(6 week wait) but it my opion you couldnt go far wrong with it.Build and paint quality are good interior is well put together I would say every bit as good as a BMW.
Any more questions feel free to ask.
Cheers
