How do I find out what model a car is?...
I went to an auction last night with a couple of mates who are traders....
Picked up a Pug 206 as a finance repo........my mates tell me it is a bargain, and were 95% satisfied that it is a 1.6xsi...I thought Id try my luck and bought it....
Im in the process of applying for a logbook, and time will tell what the car is..the auction house had no idea, but that was the case with most of the cars they were selling...
So, asides from doing a HPI check, how can I find out (gratis!) what model the car is?
(by the way, both mates are very experienced traders, so the above story is not as silly as it sounds.....they reckon I can sell it on for a very good profit if it turns out to be an xsi, and will break even if it is anything other than that!)
