Default Bargain Mini !

Not sure how to link to an ad on Autotrader, but I am sure someone will show me, basically its a Cooper S that has been shortetened by 2 feet, its up at 5 grand, is it repairable or is the 'unrecorded' bit a clue ?

The car looks beyond any kind of repair, the roof has gone, the suspension is all over the place, surely it shouldnt be for sale ?

You cannot link to a separate ad, but link us to the page before and tell us which car it is.

Either the owner was third party or not insured.

Wouldnt really want a pristine one, never mind that one, cant imagine theres much left other than the engine and box, even the interior will be shagged.

This one?

I'd not go anywhere near that. It looks like it's twisted and squashed. I'm guessing that pretty much every panel would need replacing, even the front bumper's sitting too low. It's like he's wanting £5k for the front seats and engine

It would make a ace car to clone though............

Take one Unrecorded write-off, add one recently stolen Mini Cooper S, swap identifying marks, Hey presto one legitimate stolen car to sell.

Reffro, spot on, thats what I was alluding too, not that I have any intention of buying a Mini, crashed or not !

Pinch an identical one, not difficult they are all over the place, transfer the identify and scrap the wreck, nobody is any the wiser as the one in the ad hasnt been logged as scrap.

There is no other logical conclusion to draw, the car is worth very little, might be able to salvage what 1500 quid in parts (engine, box, wheels), I dont think it will re-shell as all the suspension will be bent, the interior will have twisted door cards and probably bent seat frames, airbags deployed and quite possibly a few interesting stains.

I would not bother if that went to the insurance it would most likely be cat A or B..........not for road use spares only.

Maybe if it was £1500 it might be worth it as spares to someone but at 5k forget it

Even if that were reshelled I would NEVER trust it. Thats some heavy damage.
