Diesel starting problems
A friend of mine has an old 306 TDi and is having problems starting it.
Battery is fresh and glow plugs have been changed.
No problem to bump start and fine once going.
Anyone got any clues about oilers ?
Cheers

Would love to know if that does it
I'm going to look at one tomorrow - to maybe buy - and this one don't start even after cranking it over and over.
Would love for it to be something like that
He's been told it might be something to do with the immobiliser though so maybe similar problem with yours?

as suggested before glow plug relay a favourite on old 1.9td quick check put meter to glow plugs and check for voltage when turning ignition on
have you also tried pumping the hand priming ball and looking for air bubbles in the clear pipe at fuel filter housing and then trying to start?

Thanks very much for this guys - my friend will probably get round to this over the weekend, so I won't be able to advise PPPRob if this was the problem before next week.
