Volvo V50, Octavia Sport or Mondeo 2.2 Titanium
I can choose a new company car and out of the list I have, the cars above are the favorite 3.
I'm leaning towards the Volvo but am well aware of the merits of the Mondeo engine and the Skoda value.
What are your thoughts?
Steve
PS I'm waiting to find out if I can have the Octavia vRS PD 170bhp which if it is available, will be the winner hands down!!
PPS The Clio will be for sale soon

The vRS would need the 18" alloys, metallic blue and the maxi-dot display as a minimum.
I drove the Volvo today and was very impressed Nippy and nimble for a big car with a very classy interior. The outside was nice too with subtle sports styling and 18" wheels. The wife liked it too so it's the front runner now!
We'll pair it with an RX8 PZ when my wife goes back to work in September!

I was really disappointed with the dynamics of the Volvo. It was the Sport spec diesel; power delivery is atrocious and it generally feels unsettled on all but the best road surfaces.
Not best suited to 18" wheels, me thinks.
Cheers

The car I drove was the 2L TDi but in SE trim. The ride was comfortable but a bit on the soft side. The power delivery was good in my opinion. It had plenty of torque and a nice shove in the back but did run out of puff somewhere between 4500 and 5000rpm.
However, all the safety features, equipment levels and economy carry a higher weighting in the selection criteria than speed in this case!
