RS4 Maintenance

RS4 Maintenance
Does anyone have any experience of owning the old shape RS4?
I'm looking @ a 2000 or 20001 model with approx 90, 000 miles on it.
Having looked over on Tyresmoke I can't seem to see much info relating to the previous model. Does anyone know what the service and maintenance costs are like on these machines? From an independant perspective rather than going through the Audi dealership.
So far I've seen prices like:-
4 sets of disk and front pads = £1800
4 tyres = £2000
New cambelt every 40, 000 miles = £500 to £800
Thanks

Been over there, have read a few posts and they seem a bit of an unpleasant bunch lol..
Searching through the forum doesn't provide many hits either.
****, going to have to post on it

Get over to rs246.com - if they're grumpy they're probably just nashing their teeth on residuals or something now the new RS4 is out

They are a really nice bunch fwiw - I'm one of em (arS4)
Have read this post, but can't comment, as I haven't got an RS4, on the S4.......
However, for mine, tyres are at worst £150 per corner (Michelin Pilot Sports)
Cambelt's about right
The brakes etc, I'd expect that for the RS6, but not the RS4......
It also depends where you are, as there are some GREAT Indys out there.
Please post on there - it's a very friendly site Perhaps it might be percieved as a bit "cliquey".... bear in mind that the site is nowhere near as big as Scoobynet......
Give it a try - there's some REALLY helpful people on there (well definitely in the B5 S4 forum )

LOL at those tyre prices. Some people do like to hike up running costs !
£2k for 4 tyres !!! I just changed the rears on my 996 Turbo (295's) - £350 for 2 rears. Its just an Audi FFS (though it is a good en !)
