looking at the rear quater and the way the rear wheel sits im guessing its an mr2. There not bad if done properly and insurance is cheaper than an mr2 as it classed as a kit car but at the end of the day its still an mr2 and not a ferrari and id just prefer to stick a subtle kit on a mr2 and tune the 3sgte turbo lump up to bout 300bhp and have some fun.

Looks like a good quality kit, pretty convincing to the uninitiated.....
Personally, I'd prefer it if it was kept with the original shell. A "real" MR2 has more appeal to me than a fake Ferrari.

Seen a couple of people turn up in these at supercar shows........its a no no.
Personally I kinda like the Idea but the execution is sometimes a little haphazard.
A Scooby engined 356 replica would be my ideal second car!!

I don't see the point but i guess to some people image is everything so they may like them....although why anyone would want the image of driving a replica Ferrari i'm not quite sure. Even girls i know who hardly know anything about cars have spotted that one in my town is obviously not a real Ferrari so they hardly foul anyone.
They do a 360 kit based on a 406 coupe too now i believe!

Thanks for your views guys I just wondred what you thought.
Its in to get its stereo install removed as he has sold it and I must admit I just dont see the point in them. I like MR2's and just thought this was a waste of a good car, its a 300bhp rev.3 under all that plastic.
ps Its a customers so I cant comment too much but he got a lot of money for it.

I recall going to a Surrey meet a few years ago and there was an MR2 with a 355 replica kit on it. Looked ok, however, the amusing thing was that a bona fide 355 parked up near it, possibly even next to it
