one of those ZO6's passed me at the nurburgring in october, he was glued to the rear of some 911's, they didn't seem to be able to do anything about it, they look pretty good close up, had a good look round it in the carpark,

European equivelant to the Z06 is a TVR or ultima or noble. Compared to a ultima they are slow.
The Z06 has a tendency to have wheel hop under power, flying body panels, poor fit and finish and ofcourse that crap interior.

Not quite sure how the "European Z06" is any of those - all are small volume specialist sports cars, whereas the Corvette is built by Chevrolet who are a branch of a really rather large company . . . .
That's not to say that I disagree that e.g. the 640 Ultima wouldn't merrily trounce one round the track.
