Ford Ka oil Problems

Default Ford Ka oil Problems

Hi there i have a 1999 Ford KA(2000 regestered) and the oil keeps disapering i have checked for leaks and all is ok, could it be the piston rings have warn and is burning the oil?

Check the rocker cover they are a prime candidate.

Sorry for sounding thick but is the rocker cover the bit on top?

Yep mate the cover like tin with the green panel with endura e on the top.

Esp feel around the end of the block facing the pass side the core plug collects it if it's leaking.

Would i need to replace the cover or the gasket if its leaking?

them motors aren't the best, this a common problem,
it will be burning the oil, you get no smoke because of the cat, which in the end bungs up with oil and needs replacing, when the cat starts getting blocked you will a loss in power up hills, then it will get worse and pulling away quickly will em? no
engine rebuild mate
