What smoke you getting???

White
Black
Blue??

BM's are notorious for the Viscous fan failing
it boils over
***** the head
then its $$$$ to repair!!!!!

If its lots of white smoke then more than likely cracked head or head gasket!

Either way you will have to have the Water system tested for oil and pressure losses....

From experience I would say head or head gasket is fooked...

There is a product called "blockweld" and various others like it they are designed to fix small cracks in the coolant side of engines, but dont know how successful they are (used one once and it seemed to work) but know others have tried with no joy.
It would cost about a tenner to try.
HTH.

Would defo try some kind of block weld as at the end of the day its a very cheap fix if it works,But if it doesnt then you would need to take head of, The later sixes usually crack and sometimes can be welded or you could try euro car parts for an exchange head

theres a product on the market called K,seal it fixes k series rover engines when they let go give it a try its only 6 quid as the head is probably cracked and you wont get a breaker to sell you a head of a good engine its worth a try

Sounds like a head gasket - They are alloy and corrode - Probably nothing more than a head off, skim and new gasket. Get a compression test done and go from there.! Any mechanic should be able to quickly diagnose.
