D5 Obsession!
My dad collected his new V70 D5 Geartronic yesterday to replace our current V70 D5 Auto. Yes, this car is only a day old and it's already that muddy!
This ones only an S where as the old one is an SE so its missing the 17" wheels, CD multichanger etc but so far the 16s have given a better ride and there will be an iPod adaptor fitted soon.
The new one is also a 185bhp 6-speed with manual overide and the old one is a 165bhp 5-speed normal auto, so this one has a bit more go!
The removable tow bar is also a nice touch, as my dad thought he had ordered a non-removable one. It doesn't look as sturdy as the one on the old Volvo, but Volvo say it will take 1800kgs so I'll believe them!
Thats only a days worth of mud!:
When side by side you can see they are quite different. Note the wiper, lights, badging and trim:
The 16s look a but lost in the wheel arches and the lights need de-tangoing!:
Couldn't resist a scooby shot:
And the old, surprisingly good condition for a 4 year old, 85,000 mile car! Just about run in :
Enjoy!

Not really possibly as the new one is a company car and they don't really like you fiddling about with the car. They wouldn't allow us to put the tow bar off the old one on the new one either, meaning we had to fork out £300 for the volvo one!

Ha ha ^^^^^
Volvo's are great cars, I know more and more people getting in them! But getting a fully loaded reliable 3 year old diesel estate for 10K is a bit of a no brainer!
