Nice one. I have a 54 reg 3.0D with every option going. Only thing that concerns me is the new one comes out next year with 7 seats and you may take a hammering on depreciation. Saying that you will anyway, as mine has dropped 17k from new

If that is not a problem enjoy it...top car. If you drive around town like me don't expect much over 22 mpg

You'd have been better with a 5 series touring unless you really need 4x4.

nah, its a lease! ill get the new one next year, its going to cost me about £8.5K inc insurance over 12months, which is less than the depreciation when the new one comes out!

I have a 4.4is and have been through this whole X5 v 5 Series debate before, to cut a long story short the only valid reason to buy an X5 is that I live in Scotland and like to see over hedges, any other answer just starts and argument

Exactly, so why would you want an X5??

@ Jacko!!

I still cant figure out what an X5 is good at.... but each
to their own, and you obviously like it!

But £8.5k / year!!!! why oh why....

Good for you. I like the X5, and would happily buy one. Exactly the same spec and colour choice as yours.

One of many possibilities next year.

Enjoy your new car.

Remember to give a friendly wave to any environmentalists you see. And Audilover who'll be along shortly to chastise you.

Went for the X5 cos the 5 series looks SO boring.

Yup im a big ******, so the car looks like a normal sized family car when im stood next to it, i can streach out, dont rub my head and dont have my knee on the driver window.

environmentalists? My scooby is green..... (in colour, DGM to be exact) lol - still dont know if im gonna keep it tho. (insurance is actually £100 cheaper on a £42,000 X5 compared to my £4,000 R'reg scoob)

Us X5 owners could not give a toss about insurance as we have loads of spare cash

At least it shows thieves have good taste as well unless they take the X5 purely for its highly regarded towing ability if they plan on nicking a twin axle the same evening

lol dosent matter how much spare cash i have, i hate paying insurance!
ive only had 2 cars upto now.

1st Pug 306 1.4petrol cost me £1300ish per year to insure
2nd Scooby Turbo cost me £1700ish per year (i was 21) and has fallen to about £900
3rd NEW BMW X5 costing me £800 per year

what a waste of money!

but ive had various company cars (golfs/astras/etc) when i was repping.
