That bodyshell was on TV years ago, on one of the car programs, custom built for moscow gangsters, It was based on a merc AMG chassis and engine back then though.

photographic steps of how to make a nice car (IMHO) look very poor indeed.

Although I can appreciate the amount of work that's gone into it, ummm.....

Shame

I like the idea, could have been made Aston Martin-ish and with some less disgusting wheels could have been nice, as is, blearrgh.

Volga = their Rolls Royce etc... Comunist party bosses turning up at the politbureau (sp) in them.

If you're a Russian gangster, what better than a car that makes people nervous?

Dunno about sh*te either, it's got a certain 1950s, 60s grace to it....

The previous coupe version (as seen on other threads and above) has nicer lines imo.

Although I hate Dayton wire wheels with a passion (I think it stems from Americans plonking them on any English car they import )

Top quality work, not many bodyshops in the UK can do that kind of work without it looking like dogs dinner of ripply filler and weld seams or resorting to awfully moulded fibreglass bodykits.

People with lots of money and no taste are a constant source of entertainment.
