try www.pistonheads.com. The gransport is meant to be a real 911 rival in terms of dynamics but NOT reliabilty.

A colleague of mine had one which had so many problems the dealer had it more than he did. The worst thing was when the electrics burnt out - loads of smoke etc and then more than a month with the dealer. When it was working he loved it though. They depreciate horrifically but then that's no doubt why you are considering them. The 4200 is s better car but no doubt alot more expensive.

My cousin has got the 4200 gt with the ferrari engine which sounds fan bloody tastic, but as i was sat in it i asked him why the bulkhead carpet had been peeled away.
He said he'd got a leak but didn't know where it was coming from LOL.
Having said that he has had no major failures (yet)

I spent a while looking into getting a 3200 as I still think they look amazing. However, the service cost was very high, the cambelt needs frequent replacement (seems about 30,000 miles) and things like the exhaust are about £4,000. But you have to have money to buy one, so you may as well buy one and be willing to spend the extra. For me, the cost of owning such a car for £25k was not worth it, as I would not have the spare cash. I think back to two years ago when I had my second 993, and how that cost me hardly anything and yet gave similiar performance and handling...
And you really need the 3200 if only for the rear lights....

Another way of looking at them is that as piece of italian exotica they are actually suprisingly affordable to buy and to run.
2-3K a year should see it serviced and maintained or am I being naieve.
I seriously considered one but like many other ended up in a 911.
