guys any6one had one?

what are your general thoughts?

just shocked at the price of these a 1996/97 can be had for around 12k

any opinons

Walk into it with your eyes wide open, is my advice. Don't expect it to be like running a Subaru. In fact, I put together an ownership guide which was published in the TVRCC magazine. Let me know your e-mail address and I'll send it to you.

TBH the pitfalls and pleasures are best summed up in this thread on PH:

As you can see, the original poster (427james) has had his crank snap two weeks after buying the car, and is facing a bill of at least £4,000 to fix it.

On the other hand, one of the other contributors (simonsparrow) has a similar vintage car with 120,000 miles on the clock.

They're hand-built. You could get a good one. You could get a duff one. Mine's been good so far, but who knows what'll happen tomorrow? Put some cash aside as a contingency fund.
