Had a test drive in a 3.0V6 TDI Touareg Altitude the other day - great car and just what I need - loads of space for the kids and junk we have to carry about!

However, I've seen some (rather dated now) spy shots on the web.

VW salesman says he knows nothing Surely that can't be the case? The very limited stuff I can find on the Touareg (and for that matter Cayenne) facelift is that it's for MY07. Does that mean September 2006 or early 2007?

Could really do with someone in the know posting on here!!!

Salesmen invariably know jack ****, they have no interest in the cars they sell, or may be asked to sell.

MY07 will mean an Autumn 06 launch.

cayenne just got a facelift tourage facelift just around the corner.

I thought the Cayenne facelift is 2007 - the current Cayenne is still the same one they've been selling for 3 years, or have I missed something? Here's the facelift I'm looking at for the Cayenne:

So when you say Cayenne facelift, what are you referring to?

New Touareg's should only be sold in specialised VW dealers. Second hand one's however can be sold by anyone, hence why he knows fcukall about the car.

Check the website for a specialist, and they should be able to tell you everthing you want to know.

My old man considered one a couple years ago. Dealer was very informative.

Looks like my reply didnt come through just before the site went down. As I understand it the facelifted tourage is due for us in 2007. I dont know when exactly but a specialist VW forum should be able to tell you. I think theyre taking orders sometime november for the 2007 model.

Seems like the facelifted cayenne is also out in 2007 but some sheikh seems to already have gotten his hands on one.
