We currently have an '02 V70 D5 auto and we're looking at changing to a 185bhp geartronic version.
I can't believe that nowhere has the in gear times, even of a manual one.

Not much help but there was a recent test of the S60 with the same motor in AutoExpress.
IIRC, 30-50 in 3rd was about 3.5s, 40-60 in 4th was 4.8s.
Pretty quick, the V70 is likely to be a few tenths slower.
