hi i have a Hyundai Exel 88 and my reversing lights arent working it isnt the bulbs or the fuses, can you please tell me where the switch is.

Not an expert, but I would think its situated on the gearbox somewhere. Should be identifable by a couple of wires coming from it, that short when your gearstick is in reverse.

The old Escort Mk2 one was in the gearbox directly below the gear lever, but that was mounted in-line.

ok thank you i tried that but that was not the problem either is there any thing else you could tell me that could get my reversing lights working again

Sell the car and buy a decent one?

What about dodgy earthing? Have you tried putting it into reverse and then pressing the brakes / indicators / fogs? There are cars where you hit the indicators and the brake lights flash, etc. Some **** up with the wiring, but I don't know what exactly.

I tried all that and didnt work. if i had the money i would get a new car
