Ford Focus Engine Management Reset?

Ford Focus Engine Management Reset?
Quick question for some of the technical bods in here if I may
My '02 plate Focus dropped a coil pack over the weekend which resulted in the Check Engine light coming on. I've since replaced the coil pack but I assume I also need to perform additional steps to reset the Engine Management? If so, what?!
I'm 95% certain the problem is now cleared as the engine is back to it's usual, lively self but the light is still on. Should I be worried about an additional problem or is this just a residual hangover from the coilpack?
I'd really appreciate some help
Many Thanks,
Kelvin.

If you drove it any distance with the dodgy coilpack mate, the lambda sensor may be fouled. Try giving it a clean, There may be two!!! 1 on the manifold, and 1 in the centre section. You may still need to get ford to reset it for you, or a friendly garage with a code reader.

It's been suggested that I clear the ECU memory by disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes or so and then seeing if the fault returns. Fingers crossed...
Thanks for your help...
