A friend of mine here at work as just bought one, because he says 'its got his initials on it'.....

he was asking today whether it can be chipped!!, i suggested remapping. Does anyone know of whether this can be done, or who does it?

you can buy bluefin from superchips, buy it from any superchips dealer and they send you a hendheld device you plug in and it does the mapping there and then.

costs £500 and it gives you 255bhp.

there are others that can remap it but its an ecu out and re-program job.

blufin is the best way on the ST as it keeps your warranty. There is/was a bulk buy going on over on the STOC.

Just so happens the chap opposite me has got a Bluefin ST. He was back at Superchips on Saturday, and his gave 253bhp and 371nm on the rollers which was about average.

He also let slip that lots of owners have been having niggles with Bluefin, not everyone has been entirely happy, the suggestion being they might have rushed things out, and not all the wrinkles have been ironed out yet. But he's very happy with his car.

The big problem with bluefin and all chips at the moment is when the cars are RR'd they overheat like mad and some people are getting as low as 236bhp after remap, as the ECU limits boost if the temps are too high.

The standard intercooler is crap which is why many are fitting aftermarket ones, this month performance Ford fitted a radtec intercooler and recorded something like a 34bhp increase in power. intake temps went from about 60 degree's down to twenty something.

Have a word with the lads at Graham Goode Racing in Leicester they are currently in
the middle of developing new products for this particular car.

Hi
We had a Volvo remapped by a company in Bromsgrove called Chip Tuning Ltd.
They have a lot of experience of the Focus ST engine tuning - as it is a Volvo engine - as used in the S40, V70 T5 etc.
They now show the Focus ST on their site and are quoting 260 bhp from this upgrade.
They did a great job on our Volvo and certainly know their stuff!
Their website is at www.volvotuninguk.com
Hope this helps!
Cheers
Steve

Does Ford know that it keeps your warranty or do you mean that users think the map is hidden?

Blufin comes with a 3rd party warranty, so long as you do no other mods then its covered.
