Default Best place to Buy new Mini

My Girlfriend wants a new Cooper S / Cooper on a PCP.

There dont seem to be many deals around, but does anyone have any suggestions as where to get a good deal on the car, the finance, or both?

Can you provide any other information regarding this?

Usually the countries that add the most tax seem the cheapest place to buy for UK residents.

....but to save some money, I am sure we'd all appreaciate some extra information here

I bought a Mini One last march.

Best discount I could haggle was free TLC pack. I phoned round about 6 dealerships and none would move on the price at all. I told them one had offered TLC for free (£150 worth) and they said snap their hand off they couldn't move at all.

I paid £12,050.00 cash. (wouldn't even knock the £50 off to make it a nice number)

Mate, go to www.virgincars.com. You can get a PCP with them through the Bank of Scotland. We got our Cooper S through them with a decent discount too.

My girlfriend owns a mini and she supports me. I live off her. She probably earns more than you.

The Mrs brought hers from a BMW dealership 18 months ago. Asked and got a free Mini keyring but even that was a battle .

Good luck, Wolfie.

I actually got £500 off a Cooper S with loads of extras fitted.

What they actually did was offer more on the trade in (Scoob). So not actually discounting the car itself there figures look good and the industry manages to sustain its low depieciation image on the marque.

This Fawdingtons in Newcastle if your interested.

Just bought a secondhand one (05 reg,10 months old)for the wife...got loads of extras, darkened glass, chilli pack , visibility pack, chrono pack,LSD,side skirts etc etc, and i managed to haggle for £500 discount...and it was cheap before i started with the discount...

Go to a dealer and haggle, and if you dont get what you want, tell them you will go elsewhere...Tell them you want to do a deal by the end of the month(so they can get their sales figures up)and see how you get on...

good luck
