Question Audi A4 Avant 1.9 TDi - any opinions?

We've been looking for a while now for a replacement for my wifes ageing Toyota Corolla Verso

So far test driven a BMW 320d (very nice, but something didnt feel right and didnt like the facelift), looked at the new Corolla Verso (but its much the same), and a few other makes, but seen nothing yet that would tempt us to part with the cash.

Off to Audi tomorrow to test drive the A4 Avant 1.9 tdi - looks great in the brochures, and plenty of room for the 3 kids. so wondering if anyones got the A4 Avant? Any opinions?

Any other family type cars worth considering (not after a 4x4)?

Anyone want to buy a Verso ?

I recently bought a 54 plate avant tdi quattro sport, remapped to 180bhp

you buying new or used,

I think the 1.9 available new is only 115bhp, the 2.0 tdi is a much better engine and well worth the extra £'s

they really are great cars and hold their price very well,

Nice cars, as Taffy says the 2.0 TDi is a much better motor and worth stretching for. It's much more quiet and refined.
