Default Ford Falcon

.....hired myself a Falcon 3.0 V6 XT for a few days over here in Australia.

Its got a Tiptronic 'Box and to be honest, feels reasonably lively. The speedo is pretty deceptive, being in km/h, it flies past 100!!

Anyone know the performance stats for these??

Cheers,
Grant

Haha, yea.. when they listed a Falcon, I thought I would have got a Mad Max Limited Edition too Nat.

I would have been inclined to agree with you FlatCap, until last night on a greasy road, when I discovered that the Falcon is RWD. It'll provide plenty fun for me!!

Grant

Ozmobiles tend to be a bit like their seppo cousins in that they generally go well in straight lines and not so well round corners, Bathurst apart. My dad used to have Holdens apart from a brief interlude with a Monaro and a Charger, so you tend to grow up in one of the two camps and Holden it was for me.

Enjoy the roads but avoid the cops. They make their English equivalents look like pussies in comparison but if you have an English licence you may get away with it.

I like the look of the Holdens out here, even the Ute's look pretty sweet.

The Falcon is a 4.0L, Inline 6. The XT is a poverty pack fleet hack, the XR's are the business. The latest XR versions come with a ZF 6 speed auto in three versions.

XR6: 4.0L, I6, 255 hp
XR6 Turbo: 4.0L, Turbo I6, 328 hp
XR8: 5.4L V8, 348 hp

The Turbo is the pic of the bunch, but there all heavy buggers.
