Ive got the P2 V7OR AWD and it puts out the same figures as the S60R, they really are great cars, and surprize loads of other marques.

The volvo with 300bhp should have pulled away so no surprises there then. If it was a small spoiler it was probably a WRX. Volvo may be heavy but on the move then any car with that power should shift. You probably arent surprised either and are only here to stir the ****. I actually like the S60R but its a bit of an old mans car.

Driven both S60 and V70 R. Very quick, have better brakes steering feel and generaly more of a composed feel than a standard T5. But both left me feeling a bit cold. Never put both on the limits of their grip so can´t comment on how they behave.

Yes. The first MY01 STi's had the low level spoiler. Many UK STi's had the Prodrive kit fitted which included the high level spoiler but many cars have the WRX style low one.

If it were a UK STi with 265bhp and 253lb/ft then the figures will tell you why you pulled away with "ease" if you have 300bhp/300lb/ft

Your car is cica 150kg heavier but once rolling at 40+mph with 300lb/ft, that'd be virtually un-noticeable.

Regardless, I'm not sure if I'd use the phrase "with ease" unless we can confirm that the STi was trying as hard as you were!

Still know which car I'd rather own, and which one my grandfather would!

it think it was a Y reg, did have one single biggish zorst, also i saw a pink sti badge

pretty sure he was trying, cos he was in front, then pulled over and let get in front, then sat on my **** waiting, i did give warning of his intended doom, by a wave in the mirror, lol

old mans car, might be, but it does make it a great sleeper!

bring on the next scooby victim please! lol

Next time try it on with a JDM STi, or an STi PPP, or a P1 or Spec C, or WR1, then you'll get a chance to give a much more detailed description of the exhaust and pink badges

Bugeye STi wasn't available in the UK as a Y reg, which suggests to me it was very likely to be a WRX with a badge on it.

I love it. Audi will come soon, then maybe a stint with a STI or Evo will beckon.
