JEEP CHEROKEE 2.5TD engine help/forum?
hi all
my mates 2001 2.5 td now for some unknown reason wont go over 2000 rpm, in any gear????????
its been to his local garage & also to the local jeep dealer, and its been plugged into the engine managent system and it says its all fine?
well it not!
help any ideas?

i think the jeep uses the italian Vm engine, as found in alfas, rovers and some fords, does it smoke when having foot on floor? id look at intake, air filter blocked maybe? will it rev over 2000rpm in neutral?
