It was actually a very clever and practical car.

It had many engineering innovations and only the expense of manufacture and a lack of understanding by the public (they wouldn`t pay the asking price) killed it.

Lovely car, beautifully built but the engines were poor and it was difficult to justify the price for a car that actually did little more than a Polo. I'll be looking out for a well specced secondhand bargain though.......

Agreed, they were well engineed cars - small exterior, but more interior space than an A6 and the TDi was capable of 80mpg on a run...

They were expensive however, I remember reading on 4car that the average spend on a new A2 was 20k after options were added
