There was one of them stuck in traffic outside the Low Wood, in Ambleside, last Easter Sunday. Everyone rolled about laughing, and someone through a pint glass at it. It wasn't me (I don't think it was anyway). Crap. Pure crap.

Thats the one based on a Triumph TR7. I remember these when they came out. My dad's restoring an old kit (not one of these I add) and in the kit car magazines, there's loads of dressed up MR2's as F355's etc for sale. Not cheap either.

No, those things look far more like F40s.

It doens't look good when one of the main things they can say about these cars is Adjustable Lumbar Support!

That first one isn't even an F40 replica. It's looks more like a Koenig-modified Testarossa seen through the bottom of a milk bottle. Talk about trading standards...

Its just not big or clever to do this to an MR2 in the first place.

It juast looks like a bad replica of an F50 perhaps done by 10 y/olds as a school project with a budget of say a fiver!

A waste if time and money imho

Real F40 - Wow! Nice car. Try and have a quick chat with the owner and hope they're not too bored with people always asking Q's/saying nice car

Decent F40 Copy - Wow! Hold on a sec... That ain't a F40

Crap F40 copy - Looks nothing like a F40 so when on the dealers forecort they have to stick an F40 plate on it to tell people what it's supposed to look like

It is not an F40 Replica. It is a very very poor Koenig Competition replica.
The muppet trying to sell it may think it's an F40 replica, but it isn't. Even if it had the right proportions, it would never look like an F40.

thats near mine - it was in for 14995 at first - he had the cheek to offer me 2k for my wrx - i kindly pointed out that if he can charge that much for what looks like an mr2 modified with mdf and cardboard then he can at least give me 10k n walked away - lol - dont you just love taking the **** out of dealers who think they know it all!!! all his cars are dodgy - i wouldnt buy one from him at all - all look damaged repaired (odd exception)

It's a beautiful machine!! As it's not far from me I will go and purchase it tomorrow and trade mine in - i don't care what he gives me for mine it's so lovely i have to have it!!!

On a serious note Northernscoob is right this place ain't great - everything they have is overpriced - perhaps why they still have a yellow rx7 on a k plate, high miles, no history and awful red leather, still for sale - it was there when i was looking for my scoob, which i bought a year ago - think it's still u for £8k+
