Default Any 106 Rallye's out there?

Hi guys,

I've just bought me first car, a bianca white S1 106 Rallye:

Crap Pic I know, but as a first car, I couldnt be happier

I've started T-Cutting, and colour restoring, and she's really coming up nice now, going to get the wheels shotblasted and sprayed, so that they look tip top too. Rallye decals are the way forward now, need to nip to peugeot sometime and order them!

Any comments?

James

by the way, how do you put the picture in here? ive got the [img] tags or is this a different system?

awesome car mate I sold mine a few years ago now and its still the best car per £ I have ever driven, just be careful of the liftoff over steer and its tendency to lock its rear wheels under heavy breaking!!

Enjoy

very envious of your first car, great piece of kit, I had to make do with a Fiat Panda (loved it though!)

What a cracking first car!

I would put one of these in the top 10 cars I have been in when driven quickly, just go easy with it if your a new driver and make sure you get the brakes checked and get a good service done on it

Dont worry guys, no fiberglass, Going to partially strip it (want it to still be livable day to day) with Buckets, harnesses and a roll cage (in the future)

We're going to check the brakes this weekend, Got me haynes book of shadows ready!

Cheers for the nice comments, drive her tomorrow for the first time!

excellent first car. a mate has a black one of these that's been played with a little bit. 16v engine and running gear all round. he's just fitted a quaife diff because the wheels would spin into 3rd!!! he's lightened his a little bit too. keeps up with the scooby until about 80 - 90mph!!!

enjoy yours, they're getting quite rare now. wish i'd had one of these as my first car.

My 1st proper car was a brand new 106 1.3 Rallye in Red . Still the best handling car I've owned ( 306 Rallye included in that ) . I had it for 5 years from 1995 - 2000 . Anyone who owns N621 MJR please let me know she is still being looked after.

My first two new cars were 106 rallyes.
A black series 1 and then a white series 2

Only got a scanned one of the white un.

Best car I owned
If theiving scum hadn't broken into it and wrecked the door I'd probably still have it.

Nice car grpbrallyfan. If you haven't done so already, get in touch with your local motor club and get out on a few 12 cars

BTW, make sure that you are 100% good on insurance if you make mods such as harnesses, bucket seats, cage etc. Ask for quotes before you do it to make sure you can afford the increase in premiums. Sorry to say that they will load the insurance if you add the kit you want, but you have to declare it otherwise you'll have BIG problems if you ever have a bump.

Enjoy !
