Default Does anyone here own a Ferrari F355 ?

Hi guys

I just wondered if anyone here owned a ferrari F355 ?

I'm looking for a couple of close up pictures from one if someone could help me out ?

I'm looking for a picture on the rear quarter panel window. Looking towards the rear of the car. I believe there is a lip where the rear a-pilar comes down ? Is this bit painted black or is it a sticker ?

I'm also looking for a close picture of inside one of the side scoops.

I think that's all for the moment

Can someone help ?

cheers

My boss has one, but it doesn't come out to play that often. He drives it like a granny anyway.

you might get a better reply on pistonheads or one of the ferrari forums.

And everyone knows you should live your life off the back of what everyone else thinks
I am sure, as with everything else VAL113R does it won't be done by half.

If it is a good replica then good luck and I look forward to seeing it but I have yet to see a good MR2 replica that even remotely looks like the real thing.

I am using the Extreme kit on the car. I've done a full years research into various kits etc.

I am a perfectionist hence why I was asking about the above pictures.

Bottom line. I know it won't be an real F355, but to 99% of people it will look like one. I could probably stick a ferrari badge on the standard MR2 and 40% of people would think it was a ferrari.

I've got real F355 standard alloys to be fitted not replicas. I've got real rear quarter panel windows brand new from ferrari. All the lights, badges are brand new from ferrari still in the boxes.

I suppose we shall need to see but I bet if I drove past you Scooby-Doo you'd take a second look to tell if it's real or not !

You wont be able to drive past as it would be a 2.0 16v
Or we would hear the turbo, and we all know its N/A.

Just kidding, all the best- keep up the good work.

Dont see the point in replicas personally. Or why people sticker and badge their cars up 'STi' and the like, when they are not.

Each to their own though

Slightly aside, but this thread reminded me of something funny.

I was in a massive queue for a concert, and an MR2 'ferrari' was driving slowly past. The two women in front were talking about it, one says 'look, ferrari', the other says 'that's a copy, not a real one'....to which I thought good girl, you know your stuff...she then explained why it was a copy to her friend....the main reason being the doors didn't open upwards! ...why couldn't she have just stopped talking earlier!

There's a yellow replica drives around my way. Apart from it being only half as wide, the noise and the fact it's driven by a lad who looks about 12 it's a very good replica. I was impressed with it - even up close, in thep ub car park everything was done nice and neat (to my untrained Ferrari eye).

my mates got a LHD 355 F1 GTS...makes me giggle every time I go out in it

he had it for his only car for about three years so he used it for the weekly shop and everything...really nice but strangely we have never had a head to head so don't know how it compares directly to mine (270\270 classic...). he does says his dad's standard MY98 feels very fast tho.

overall lovely car, fantastic noise but attracts an unbelievable amount of attention, people asking if he take their kids out for a ride and then getting stroppy when he says no!!!

Had a look on the xtreme website and have to agree its a good replica and one of the few that have bothered to move the headlights to the correct position. The one that was up the road from me was a cheap kit and looked totally awful mainly due to the headlights being a long wayup the bonnet and the gap in the arches.

Best wishes with the project and post some pics up on your progress.

Hope it works out ok for you.

I really can't see how you'd feel comfortable driving around in it to be honest, but hey whatever floats your boat
