We've lived here for about 17 years now, and the guy at the top of the street has an old X reg Lotus Elite. It has a Renault 2.0 16v producing 160bhp, not too bad in my opinion for such an old car. Its spent most of the time on the drive way broken down and it very rarely travels passed our house! I think hes only had it running on 4 cylinders once, and that didnt last long! It occasionally disappears on a trailer and isnt seen for months. On random evening or weekends hes out with his flourescent coat on under the bonnet tinking, when i say tinkering i mean revving the engine for hours on end! Sometimes up to 12 midnight!

Hes spent all afternoon revving the engine to within an inch of its life, and hes still out there revving it now!

So after 17 years he still cant get the cheese shaped hunk of junk to run properly, you'd think by now he would get rid and buy a proper sports car!

One of our neighbours has a Westfield with a Vauxhall XE in it, very rapid machine but he is apt to rev the **** off it during the summer, can grate a bit even for a fellow petrolhead !
