Pug 205 GTI calipers
I need to order some front brake pads but cannot see what brand caliper is on the car part no seems to be 1256/13 but corrosion and gunk obscure all other markings?
I believe should be Girling or Bendix but Demon Tweaks need to know brand of caliper to get correcr pad.
Just wondered if any one could help?
Car is K reg 1.9 if that helps.
Saves me having to pop a pad out before ordering.
Thanks in advance.

IIRC, take the wheel and the make is stamped into the caliper itself.
Mines a 1990 1.6 with Bendix.
BTW, if you anyone who's going to the Autosports show, get them to order it from the DT stand as its free delivery.
I ordered some DS2500 yesterday

2 types of caliper, one open type which is the one everyone prefers or the closed type which is normally on 1.6's, i'd say for a 1.9 you've got the open type so just tell then that.

Whenever I have bought my pads the book has been looked at for part numbers it appeared the girling / bendix thing was on the 1.6 not the 1.9.
Maybe I have just been lucky that the last 8 loads I have bought have all been right though

Go for the ATE power discs from eurocarparts - cheap as chips and very good - grooved and vented, for £20 a piece or something. All depends if you're keeping or still selling though.
Good luck with the disc retaining screws, have the EZ outs ready

Wish I read that earlier ,am a bit sceptical of some of Euro parts stuff, their ignition leads were not good only lasted 4/5 months and close to where I work.
Ordered some Brembo std. discs now.
Trying to avoid the selling debate. Car advertised reluctantly.Been driving the Scoob to work this week due to low pads in Pug, think the 205 is much more rewarding to drive. Esp. the sweet gear change in the Pug (with quickshift).was thinking of starting a thread to see if quickshift worth fitting to MY2000 Scoob Classic.
I believe that it does not make a great deal of difference in Scooby.
