Just got an ST220 Estate
I've just picked up an ST220 Estate. '53 plater. 3.0 V6.
What a great car for money. It had been with Ford for sometime so only has 5600 miles on the clock so it feels like new.
Big, pretty quick for a large estate car and handles nicely too.
I'm chuffed...

If your interested or need them I have a hatchbag boot liner and a ford mesh guard suitable for a 53 plate Mondeo estate, both in excellent condition and I am open to sensible offers.
Sorry thread Hyjack.

I drove a Panther Balck with Red Leather but after the initial, "Wow it's red inside" it didn't hold my attention like I thought it would. Mine has Flint Grey Recarros. I think it looks classy!
I bought the car from a small Ford franchise not far from Colchester called LS Eaves. Apparently they are the smallest Ford franchise in the UK and so aren't you typical car dealer, it's been a family business since 1952 and a Ford dealer since then too.
Diablo. I take your point about the petrol but hey I've come from an M Coupe so it's going feel positively frugal in comparison.

No probs
Thanks for the link by the way.
Nice looking car, mine used to eat the miles and for a ford was a fine place to be on long journeys. Fancied a st tdci but ended up with a new shape passat 2.0 tdi which is excellent.
Enjoy

ST220 what is it like after a few months
Hi - I am looking at one of these on Satrday/Sunday as a fun load luger (I go carp fishing and carry a lot ogear). I have driven one 20 min test drive and seemed very pleasant - not scooby fast - nice engine note and quite good handling.
How has it proved to be in the longer term and whats the real life having some fun and bored just getting there on the motorway MPG. It will be our second car also for longer journeys (the MINI will be around town) and I know the recaros in the ST are really comfortable hence despite poorer economy it would be the long drive car!!!
Cheers
