Default ITR pads & disks

Hi,
its service time for my brothers car, its MY99 Uk Integra type-r.

Should we go for the stock brake set up (OE honda) or go after market?

Looking a DS2500 Ferodo pads, and black diamond disks, may work out cheaper than Honda.

any advice guys would be most welcome.

Ta'

Always found the stock OEM brake setup very good and generally very hard wearing......... not sure about the Ferodo/black diamond setup - how much cheaper is it ?

Honda parts dept. is shut at the momement, but looking at £105 for the ds2500 and £158+Vat for EBC disks.(from Demon T)

Considering running Ferodo Pads and O.E disks with 5.1 brake fluid?
Should be fine for fast road use????

what do you think?

On the contrary EBC blank disks, together with ds2500 pads makes a great setup.

Trust me EBC blanks (not grooved) and a decent set of pads, you can't go wrong.

Right guys...
Just got a phone call from Honda £100 for the disks and £45 for the pads.
Looking at getting the Ds2500 pads and stock disks as a set-up? Also a service is only £150 ish which is not too bad for a stamp in the serivce book.
