Question Rear view mirror dropped off

My collegue's interior mirror has dropped off and is wondering what is the best way to re-attach it.

It's on a Ford Ka and should be attached to the windsreen.

Buy a new pad from Ford They are better quality than the ones you can buy in auto accessory shops. Just make sure that both surfaces are clean and stick it back on

Thank you.

My skin-flint collegue says that it might be a lot more expensive from Ford rather than, say, Halfords. I say it'll be even more expensive if she buys one at Halfords and then replaces it with a Ford one because the mirror has dropped off again!

You could always try nailing it to the screen.

The pads are a matter of pence Ford stuff is often cheaper than accessory stores

Go for the Ford sticky pad. 14p. Clean screen and mount.

Then (helpful hint # 231) using a hairdrier het up the glue so its extra tacky before you fit the mirror. Make sure you support the screen from the outside as you're pushing it on though.

feckin halfrauds glue doesn't work! even if it does stick - never touch the mirror again or it will fall off.

in the end got a new mirror and sticky pad from halfrauds
