Best Used Car 2005
"Forget the Renault Clio, just voted Car of the Year by a panel of eminent judges ..................................... the real bargain motor is the Mazda 6.
The family car has been awarded the title of Used Car of the Year 2005 by a popular motoring magazine. Beating off competition from the Ford Focus, the Mazda was judged to be the safest, most reliable and best looking car on the second hand market. It also offered the best value for money: a nearly new example can now be bought for less than £10,000.
In other categories, the BMW 5-series was voted best executive car, the Ford Ka 1 was voted top supermini and the Volvo V70 won best estate"

Having driven the 6 and been a passenger in my Service Managers on numerous occasions i can see yet again that the findings are once again Bo!!ocks.
Amongst the wash of cheap plastic the only redeaming feature was BOSE stereo. Apart from that I thought it was NAFF !!!!!!!

Glad to see the Volvo V70 as Best Estate. I got my 4y-o T5, almost fully loaded (missing family pack and sunroof, but otherwise £35k new value) for £13k. Lovely on the motorway, but not an ideal backroads car!
