200 miles out of first quarter of a tank
First 200 mile in me van, quarter of a tank used! Only had it a week but have fitted 2 trips to the dump and various large items from B&Q. Who says being Scoobless is painful. Feckin shifts when it's empty too.

Does depend on the fuel gauge too. My 306 D Turbo (snap, Tony!) got over 250 miles before the fuel gauge dropped from the full mark on the first tank I'd used! OK it was doing ~46mpg which gets up to ~600 miles/tank, and is good considering the use I was giving it, but even so, slightly non linear indication.

I use a renault megane diesel for work. 42 Mile round trip each day including the odd weekend shift and whatever i do socially.
Takes 2 weeks to run the tank down to quarter when I fill it up. Average around 650 miles to a tank and so far 53.2 mpg and thats not a lot of motorway driving either .
Get 200 miles in the scooby if i drive it normally , although obviously more fun. As a day to day car you cant beat a modern diesel. All that low down torque is good too.

Just clicked onto 600 miles and the light is on. That's pretty good considering there's been a lot of local stop start driving and about 300 miles of fast mway miles.
