Mondeo Zetec - what to look for?
Hey guys,
Off to look at a Mondeo Zetec as a winter runabout - it's a 2000/X plate with 55k on the clock.
Anything in particular I should be looking out for on this car?
I know about having to drop the subframe for a clutch change, so will bear that in mind.
Other than that, the guy who is selling it says it doesn't have any service history (reflected in the price) but he's a mechanic and has serviced it himself.
Any info much appreciated
Cheers
Chris

tbh, i think that garages have got round the part of dropping the subby to change clutches, i have heard (not pub patter) that the taxi boys mechanics can do them in under an hour.
Would make a load of sense

Nope - it's a Mk2. Judging by Parkers and 'Trader the S is fairly rare - looks like it was only available on the X plate too. I'm assuming (!) it's essentially a 2.0l Zetec with extra bodykit from the ST24/200?
