Default Mondeo Key fob

The Mondeo forums now want to charge to reg and as I'm about to sell the car I don't see the point.

Two things I hope somebody might be able to help with

1. Since changing the car battery the key fob has stopped working on my 98 mondeo, how do I reset this?
2. The alarm has stopped working about 6/12 what's the self test proceedure?

1. It shouldn't have, but anyway insert key and move from position 0 to position 2 4 or 5 times quickly, the led on the dash clock will flash, press a button on the remote and the led will flash again, wait 10secs until the led flashes again. the system is now set.

2. Im not sure what you mean? The test mode can be used to find out is any sensors are broken, to access it you just press any one of the sensors (door lock button is easiest) 8 times quickly, activation of any sensor now results in a horn beep. To leave test mode just let it stand for 30 secs or so.
