Should i get a pug 405 td?
Ive had a look at a pug 405 td executive saloon, looks identical to an mi16. Its got plenty of kit, leather interior, heated seats, aircon, 6 cd changer, pas and stuff. (this impresses me because ive only ever owned a panda and an ax, wanna buy my ax? ) and its only done 90k... all for the princely sum of £795
What does everyone think?

They aint the quickest of cars the TD and you have to get use to the way the turbo comes in but aslong as its been serviced regulary, it doesnt smoke and the cambelt has been changed recently (oh and check the rear beam as they can go, it can effect the handling) then yes they aint a bad car to own (6k mile service intervals btw)

I posted this in another thread about cheap cars. They are perfect commuting cars, thats why they were so popular with taxi firms. My advice would be to get one, just not at that price.

"One of my favourite cars ever was my E-reg Peugeot 405 GTXi.
It cost me £75 I ran it for six months, thrashed the living hell out of it from cold with full throttle gear changes most of the time with no clutch! Never checked the oil or water and only filled up when the light came on.
It never cost me a penny
Didn't worry bout it getting nicked, broken into, or torched.
When the clutch finally went (one week before the tax was due, RESULT!!!) just gave it away to a mate who needed a runaround. He did the work for about £100
There is a lot to say about cheap crappy cars!!
Now I have the paranoia and empty bank account associated with Scooby ownership!!! "
