Defunct classic British sports cars?
Can anyone think of any classic British sports car marques which are now deceased, out of production etc etc?
I just noticed that Arial, as in the Atom, was founded in the late 1800's, yet I had never heard of it until the Atom was 'born'.
There must be plenty of once big names which are now unheard of...
So, no prizes to be given, but what can you come up with???

There's hundreds of deda UK car makers! Most went bump, merged or swallowed up by bigger companies (BL )
Off the top of my head:
Lea Francis
Standard
Humber
Hillman
Wolseley
Alvis (ok. they make tanks and stuff now )
Gordon Keeble
Lagonda
SS (Swallow Sidecars...Jaguar)
Riley
Cooper
ERA
BRM
Climax
Coventry
Armstrong Siddeley (sp?)
Sunbeam
Gilbern
Most based in the Midlands too
Oh and not to mention the obvious...Triumph, Jensen, Austin Healey, MG etc

Westfield
Caterham
Sylva
Specialist sports cars
Tiger
Raw
MK
Dax
Chesil
Plus loads of other low volume compnent car manufacturers I can't remember. I've owned both a Caterham and a Westfield in the past. Considered both a Tiger and a dax as well. Chesil looks very nice but costs a small fortune and they're not worth the money IMO.
