Who's doing the best deals ?
Hi all,
A few months ago, I went to a local specialist BMW dealer to buy a diesel 'to and from work' car. Being a petrolhead, what did I come home with ? A facelift 1999 740i, 4.4 V8 with 286bhp, 326lbft
However, my company has recently relocated and I'm now doing 18k+ a year, so my fuel bills are just too high. I have a heavily modded MR2 turbo to play with at weekends\trackdays, but I really need to go and look at diesel 'to and from work' cars....and actually buy one
Thing is, I can't be ar*ed to sell my 740i privately, even though it's in cracking condition. So any of you guys had particularly good part-ex deals from anyone ?
I'm thinking of a 330d or VAG group tdi.
Cheers all
Matt

Petrol prices are going through the roof, and you want to trade in a V8 7-series for a diesel 3 series.
You don't want a good part-ex deal, you want the least worst part-ex deal...

No I still want a good deal or I'll keep the 7, the trade off is between depreciation and fuel costs. If a deal for a new car is naff, then I'll spend on fuel instead of depreciation seeing as my 7 has done most of it's depreciating, but if there is anyone out there offering sensible part-ex prices, then I'll buy a new car, suffer the depreciation and save on fuel bills.
Just wondered if there was anyone on here that got a good part-ex deal anywhere.

Not that I got a very good part-ex figure for my STi, but I picked up a good deal from the Bristol VW dealer...
A brand new 1.9 TDi (130) Highline VW Bora. The price? £12.5k - bargain!
Wasn't so bad losing so much on the Scoob
